Drinks in a Click
Drinks in a Click were a start up company that came to Dazines seeking guidance with their project to help build a website for their company that would make them appear professional while still being effective and easy to use.
They chose Dazines because they found that our professionalism and attention to details matched their company philosophy and they quickly built a strong and lasting friendship with our company.
The process of creating the website
As Drinks in a Click Ltd were a completely new start up company the first stage of the project was to design for them a brand new logo. When designing the logo we had a long conversation with them and established that they wanted to not only appear as a professional company but also as a modern company.
We provided them 3 different designs for their logo and they instantly fell in love with the 'orange globe' logo you can see to the left. As always there were a few changes that needed to be made and after going back and fourth a few times we quickly came to the final logo.
Now that we had the logo designed and agreed, we had the colour scheme we needed for the rest of the website. At the start of the project we had already decided what functionality was required, now it was just a matter of turning this into a beautiful design.
Normally we do 2 different alternatives when presenting ideas for a home page however on this occasion, as we had a very friendly relationship with the client, as soon as we had completed the first design we showed this to the client, and they instantly fell in love with this and so there was no need to do a separate design. We then went on to quickly agree the design for the rest of the inner pages.
Programming the Site

Now that we had all the designs agreed we simply had to perform the process of turning these designs into a fully functional website. This sounds easier than it is, but with our experienced and knowledgeable programmers it was a smooth and simple process.
The first stage was turning the designs into HTML and CSS. This then gives us an HTML template to work from. Then we implement our in-house custom-built CMS. After this we link the CMS with the front-end of the web site to make the whole rest of the web site dynamic and functional. The last stage of the project was implementing the payment system.
Below is a list of the functionality in this site.
-
Customer login and sign up that allows people to store their data
-
Ecommerce functionality that allows users to buy alcohol for instant delivery
-
Several pages of information about the company
-
A full content management system
-
Ability for administrators to edit pages and manage users
-
Ability for administrators to manage products including prices and stock
